Paul's Journey To Damascus

When Paul was confronted with what he took to be a heresy to Judaism, he worked with all his might to quell it. This heresy would one day come to be known as Christianity and Paul was among the foremost of its persecutors.
Paul undertook a mission to Damascus. There he intended to continue attacking Christians. However, on the way, he had a vision of Jesus. Jesus opened his eyes to the truth. Searching his soul, Paul undertook the mission to preach in Damascus, which he did for three years.

What is the
Damascus Road Journey?

The Damascus Road Journey is a transforming three days and three nights experience. It's a highly structured weekend journey with emphasis upon encountering Christ Jesus of the Holy Bible. The method of this encounter is spiritually stimulating, exciting and innovating, yet at the same time maintaining a solid biblical theme. In fact, each day has its own theme; Someone Is Coming, Someone Has Come, and Someone Is Coming Again (John 1). All three daily themes point to one truth… JESUS! Everyone who attends the Damascus Road Journey will encounter Jesus Christ in a different, but intense way each day.

Projected Goal

There is only one goal that we have for Damascus Road Journey. The goal is for those who have a relationship with Jesus to come away with the burning desire to share their faith like they never have before.

The Method

The journey offers the travelers an opportunity to enter into worship, fellowship, and serious self-reflection as well as being ministered to by our biblically solid servant team. Sponsored by the Fisherman's Paradise Christian Church, this non-denominational weekend, through the power of the Holy Spirit, promises to be life changing.

The Learning Method

The journey offers three ways to ensure the traveler encounters Jesus.
  • Interpretation through table discussions and summaries
  • Illustration through creating posters on talks
  • Application through creating skits and acting them out
