| | | | | Fisherman's Paradise Church was founded when I realized early in my first ministry that a "maintenance" ministry was not for me. I felt as though church as usual, usually involved people who had their own fleshly agenda's and could care less about the main mission of Jesus for his Church. I felt a fire burning inside of me. It was and still is a fire to share the life giving message of Jesus Christ with a lost and dying world. So I founded the Fisherman’s Paradise Christian Church. Myself, my wife, and five other people. Three of the five are still here, it has been a long hard road, it has been worth it. Truly we are the modern day two fish and five loaves of bread story, proving that little can be much in the hands of Jesus. We started with a vision, little money, I mean only a few dollars, and a desire to be Fishers of Men. I am truly thankful to my favorite professor D.R. Terry L. Peer of the Louisville Bible College, for inspiring me and equipping me to discuss His and my, Theology of Evangelism. “If we are Fishers of men, then we live in a Fisherman’s Paradise, because there are lost people everywhere.” -Danny McDonald- There is a common theme through out the entire bible, a message from God concerning his desire to save lost mankind into a saving and blessed relationship with him though his son Jesus Christ. Given this overtone of the bible, with its scarlet thread of salvation which is woven through the fabric of all 66 books, the saving acts of God presupposes a condition in which man requires such action, effort and sacrifice on God’s part. That condition which God addresses and offers an eternal solution for is “LOSTNESS!” -Senior Pastor Dan McDonald- |

OUR ASSOCIATE PASTOR
Our Associate Pastor, Brent Calloway is a graduate of Johnson Bible College and is the founder of our “Back-Lot” Ministry and works with our Fresh Start Ministry. OUR ELDERS
Fisherman's Paradise Christian Church is governed by a group of godly men called Elders. The day to day ministry matters of the church resides in their hands. These men are available for both counsel and prayer. Matters concerning church policy may be brought before the Elder Board.
Our Elders are Mark Pangburn, Scott Larrison, Terry Boger and Tony Griffin. These men love the Lord Jesus Christ, and his church, and they take serving him very serious. In addition to meeting the requirements for the office of elder in 1st Timothy 3:1-13, they also meet Pasotr Dan's personal requirements to be ordained into the office of elder. They had to recite the sixty six books of the Bible, complete an intense study on the office of Elder and Deacon, and study the book of Acts with a concentration on the doctrine of Soteriology, Pneumatology and the overall anatomy of the Church. They had to recite a key verse that is pivotal to our specific mission here at FPCC, and explain in detail its five points and how it applies. After taking a verse by verse journey through the book of Acts and taking test’s on each chapter, they continue to meet with Pastor Dan every Sunday morning at 8:00 am sharp, to engage in what we call Sunday Morning Gym. At the present time, Sunday Morning Gym consists of intense training in Biblical Hermeneutics, from the Historical Grammatical perspective. Another requirement pertaining to the office of Elder was the covenant that they entered into with The Lord and Pasotr Dan. The covenant stated that as long as they remain in the office of Elder, Sunday Morning Gym will continue, they eagerly accepted the terms of this covenant. Finally, all of these men have been out in the streets in the spiritually darkest areas of our county, putting the office of Elder, and the training of Sunday morning Gym into practice by sharing the gospel while at the same time showing the love of Jesus in a real and practical way. Folks, if your leaders will lead, the people will follow. Since our leaders have hit the streets, the people have come out of the pews and followed them.
